The weather has turned cold, which means it’s time to say goodbye to the splash pad for the season.

Thank you to everyone who came out to splash, play, cool off, and make memories with us this summer!

The 2026 Prairie Festival is a wrap!

Thank you to everyone who came out, participated, volunteered, sponsored, and supported this wonderful community event. It takes a community to make the Prairie Festival such a success, and we are so grateful for everyone who helped make this year’s festival one to remember!

And just like that, we’re already starting to plan for 2027… stay tuned!

It’s that time of year again! Open Playtime is back starting Monday, September 21 from 10am-11:30am at Prairie Center!

🌳 Prairie Park Phase 1 Update!

Join us at the Parks & Recreation Commission meeting on Tuesday, September 15, at 7:00 PM.

The Commission will review updates and provide recommendations on the Prairie Park Phase 1 design, including:

🏢 Restroom Building – Review proposed facility options
🎪 Picnic/Event Shelter – Review shelter options
🏀 Project Alternates – Consider potential additions such as basketball court resurfacing, pickleball courts, ballfield shade structures, batting cages, shelters, concrete work, and pedestrian lighting
🛝 Destination Playground – Review four playground concepts, with a budget of approximately $1.1 million for equipment, surfacing, shipping, and installation

This is an opportunity to learn more about the plans and share your thoughts before the project moves into final design and consideration by the City Council.
