Keaton Classic Golf Tournament & Fundraising Event

Annual golf fundraising tournament. What makes Keaton Classic unique is 100% of Gross Profit goes to Some only Monday, Some only Wednesday. lol!

A little bit about we must do each year prior to the tournament

We have to first secure a location/course that allows free beer/catered food, has enough carts, and is affordable but also available. We prefer a weekend tournament, but many courses only do Monday, or Wed or even Friday. Some may meet all the needs but not allow for a morning tournament. We prefer our golfers not be in the 100-degr

ee heat too long so prefer morning. Securing the location alone takes seemingly endless calls, meetings, and paperwork. Another task is getting enough volunteers. We rarely have enough for an event I’d this size so that leaves a ton to be done by only a few. There are many things to build and update - brochure, sponsors agenda on the website’, “‘About’ and ‘Home’ pages on the website, registrar page on the site, The actual Keaton Classic “Event Page’ itself has to be rebuilt every year, the email invitations to golfers (still hasn’t gone out yet!), Flyer/posters built or rebuilt each year along with ads and every time we get a sponsors/donor we have to update the site and the flyer, social media ads, all the while reaching to get sponsors, raffle prizes, silent auctions items, gift bags ordered, donations or purchasing of items to go inside the gift bags and working full time, so I know I personally appreciate everyone’s patience as we try to achieve it all. Because marketing is my line of work much of the building/updating falls on me, and I’m only one person. That is why I appreciate anyone who’s able to help in any other capacity. � Side note: This page is where we primarily post ads, flyers, pictures front the tournament’s location, but keep in mind the posts get pushed down as new posts are added, so a call may be quicker if you have a question leather than scrolling to find if we have responded! Always check the website first as I try to make it the first thing to be updated. (Although this year I was updating the old website by mistake!! That’s what happens when you try to cram so much in a day! We focus first on trying to get enough done to get it started and updating/doing the rest as we can. Try planning a wedding in three months! But with this less help and you must raise the money in the same three months! ;) Again, please don’t hesitate to email us or even call 1-866-673-5475 (rings right to my cell) or send a direct message to an admin if you don’t find your answers on the website or Event Page but keep in mind sometimes it may not be updated quite yet! � Thank you again to everyone involved! Oh… and then we have to do all of the marketing to get the teams in!!

Congratulations to the winners of the 2022 Keaton Classic Golf Tournament! First Place Winners were awarded custom Keaton Classic Golf Plaques with photos of the Chief Players "Dawson Huddle Tribute" pictured here. They also each won a Voice GPS Rangefinder, 5 Rounds of Golf to different Golf Courses (1st over all included passes to "The Pointe" in Branson"). https://www.pointeroyalegolf.net/ All 1st place in flights received passes 4 4 rounds at choice 3 Shawnee County Golf Courses https://www.shawneecountygolf.com/annual-passes/
1st Place 2nd Flight received the Shawnee Passes and each player passes for a round of golf at Shamrock Hills shamrockhills.com/
1st Place in 3rd Flight received a round of golf at their choice of Classic Great Life Golf Courses. https://greatlifekc.com/classic-clubs/ 2nd place in all flights received the custom plaque and Voice GPS Rangefinder.

There were awards for all on Course challenges... Longest Drive Men & Women, Longest Putt, Closest to the Pin, 19th Hole, Putting Contest etc.

Anyone who purchased raffle tickets and stayed for the Awards banquet received a raffle prize. Many players won tons of them! Everyone seemed to have a great time! Now we are on the hunt for next years location! Thank you again to everyone who participated.
