Sure fire way to get a perfect gear mesh. In this video we used a 27t pinion to mesh up a 26t to the spur gear. You do not need to press hard on the larger pinion, just make sure it's fully seated before tightening the motor mount screws and switching back to the smaller pinion.

Gear Mesh is often overlooked. Having a proper gear mesh will lead to a quieter car, less maintenance and save you from needless part replacements. Here is one way to set your gear mesh with paper. Receipt paper works best! Fix number 2 is better - stay tuned!!
