Pelivan Transit connects local residents to communities throughout Craig, Delaware, Mayes, Nowata, Ottawa and Rogers Counties, as well as the cities of Owasso and Collinsville. Donβt forget: The Cherokee Nation is accepting applications for its annual Elder Angel Project, which provides Christmas gifts to eligible Cherokee elders. Deadline to apply is Nov. 18.
Application guidelines include:
β‘οΈ Must be 60 years of age or older
β‘οΈ Must be a Cherokee Nation citizen
β‘οΈ Reside within Cherokee Nation Reservation
β‘οΈ Provide proof of income
Eligible Cherokee elders may apply at any of the Cherokee Nation Human Services offices across the reservation from now until Nov. 18, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For a list of offices, visit here https://www.cherokee.org/all-services/human-services/contact-us/

π REMINDER: Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. and Cherokee Nation Deputy Principal Chief Bryan Warner recently issued an emergency declaration providing over $1.25 million to support food banks and other non-profit food programs in the area. Cherokee Nation is now accepting applications for the Emergency Food Security Grant available to nonprofit food banks, pantries, and meal programs within the Cherokee Nation and contiguous counties. πππππ₯π’π§π π’π¬ π
