Our 2:15 PM MiniKickers session is currently under-enrolled, and we’d love to add a few more of our littlest soccer players! ⚽

MiniKickers is a fun introduction to soccer where kids can play, learn, make friends, and HAVE FUN! 🙌

⚽ A NOTE TO OUR OSC FAMILIES — ESPECIALLY OUR U14+ FAMILIES

First, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our players, parents, and coaches for getting through this stretch of heat with us. We know the practice changes, cancellations, and adjustments haven’t always been easy, and we truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we’ve worked to keep our players safe.

We may not be completely out of the heat just yet, but we are REALLY hoping fall soccer weather is here to stay! 🍂⚽

U14+ Families: As the forecast looks right now, we WILL be playing tomorrow. We have very few games at OSC this weekend since U14 and older are the only age groups beginning play, and we will be adding additional water breaks as needed.

💧 Please make sure your player comes prepared with PLENTY of water. Even with the cooler weather we’ve had recently, hydration is still extremely important.

Our U12 and younger teams will begin games next weekend, September 19.

Good luck to our U14+ teams kicking off their season tomorrow! We’re excited to finally see some soccer being played! ⚽🙌

🌧️⚽ PRACTICE FIELDS ARE OPEN TONIGHT!

The fields do have some surface water from today’s much-needed rain, but overall they are looking good and practice fields will be OPEN this evening!

⚠️ FIELD CLOSURES:
Game Fields 11 & 13 are CLOSED due to standing water. Please stay off these fields this evening.

For all other fields, please use good judgment and avoid any especially wet or muddy areas to help us protect the fields.

And seriously… fall weather, PLEASE stick around! 🍂⚽🙌 Enjoy your evening at practice!

⚠️⚽ OSC PRACTICE UPDATE — WE ARE ON FOR TONIGHT! ⚽⚠️

OSC Families & Coaches — practices WILL be held this evening, but we have some important adjustments due to the heat.

We hear you — we want our players to practice too! However, we cannot sacrifice safety or go against the U.S. Soccer heat policies we are required to follow.

☀️ Today’s WBGT peaks around 5:00 PM, which means NO practices are permitted from 5:00–6:00 PM.

⏰ ALL PRACTICES WILL SHIFT 1.5 HOURS LATER TONIGHT.

Simply take your normal practice time and add 1.5 hours:

➡️ 5:00 PM practice → 6:30 PM
➡️ 6:00 PM practice → 7:30 PM

🚫 NO PRACTICES MAY BEGIN BEFORE 6:30 PM.

We are also asking teams to shorten practices by 15 minutes:

⚽ Normal 60-minute practice → 45 minutes
⚽ U5/U6 → 30 minutes

💧 IMPORTANT: A 5-MINUTE WATER BREAK IS REQUIRED FOR EVERY 15 MINUTES OF PLAY.

We realize these later times will not work for every family or team. Coaches may absolutely choose to cancel practice if the adjusted time does not work for their team or they feel their players are not up to practicing in the heat.

We are experiencing a heat wave unlike what we have dealt with in recent years, and we are continuing to pivot so our teams can get on the fields without sacrificing safety.

🥵⚽️ I KNOW, I KNOW… NOT ANOTHER FIELD CLOSURE POST. BUT HERE WE ARE. 😩☀️

Oklahoma has apparently decided summer isn’t finished with us yet.

Due to the continued unsafe heat conditions, all OSC fields are CLOSED and all outdoor practices are canceled for this evening.

🏠 Have access to an indoor facility? Feel free to move practice inside!

💦 No indoor space? Make it a team-building night instead! Hit the splash pad, meet up for ice cream 🍦, or find somewhere cool for the kids to hang out together.

We know everyone is ready to PLAY, and we are too! But player safety will always come first. ❤️⚽️
