WHAT A WEEKEND!
The 2026 Kentucky State Sporting Clays Championship is officially in the books, and we are still taking it all in!
304 shooters from 19 states
🎯 Over 123,000 targets thrown
💧 2,200 bottles of water
🧊 105 bags of ice
☀️ And one HOT Kentucky weekend!
But the numbers only tell part of the story.
This weekend would not have been possible without the incredible people who made it happen. To every shooter who traveled to Elk Creek, every sponsor and vendor who supported the event, every employee and volunteer who put in long, hot days, and everyone who stepped in wherever they were needed — THANK YOU. There are so many of you that mean so much to us! Sh***un Gear Trap Rentals Cy and Ashleigh, Howard J Schwalbach and the rest of our village you all are the true rockstars!
Hosting a State Championship takes months of planning and a whole lot of teamwork. Seeing the club filled with competitors, families, friends, vendors and familiar faces made every bit of that work worth it. Having Jon Kruger back here to set targets and Ed Prechel to entertain us with Make-A-Break was a great addition!
Thank you to the Kentucky Sporting Clays Association for the opportunity to host the 2026 State Championship we were proud to welcome shooters from 19 different states right here to Owenton, Kentucky.
Most of all, thank you to the sporting clays community. You showed up, you competed, you supported one another, and you made this a weekend we won't soon forget.
