Here is another great hitting tip from 3,000 hit club and 500 HR club member, Rafael Palmeiro!

When loading and separating make sure that your weight is back and your front side is closed. If your front foot or shoulder open your head and eyes will follow and you will lose your power.

This is a simple tip but one of the most important parts to being a consistent hitter!

Raffy does a great job explaining load and separation and importance of staying closed. Thanks for the tip, Raffy!

Special visit last night from former Atlanta Braves outfielder, Clemson Hall of Famer, ACC Player of the Year and TBW Advisory Board member Brian Kowitz. Brian has been with us since day one. He spoke to our players on the importance of believing in yourself, having goals, having a routine and how tough you have to be physically and mentally to play baseball at a high level. Thanks for the time and words of wisdom BK!

Here is a cool throwback to the Winter of 2020 at TBW! Troy was on the Tigers 40-man roster and would make his MLB debut the following year with the Pirates. He is now a Baltimore County cop. Jack was a senior in high school and would go on to have 599 at bats playing at Vanderbilt. Spencer was fresh out of college and in his first season in the Minors with the Blue Jays. He is now an everyday player in the big leagues with the Pirates. Michael was finishing up his professional career and now a successful pitching coach in college at Frostburg State. Bruce was a few months away from his big league debut with the Orioles. He has since pitched with the Brewers and Cardinals and is now pitching in Korea. Last, but not least, is Autin. Austin was catching for the Orioles in this picture. He has since played with several MLB teams and is still doing it at the highest level with the Cubs. Awesome to see the evolution and development of everyone over time. We are happy we still see, work with and keep in touch with just about everyone in this picture!

They did it again! This is a special group of players here. These guys don't miss a practice, lift, bullpen or open facility and it shows. They get after it and come ready to play every game. We are looking forward to seeing what the future holds with this group. Lots of talent and great work ethic. Keep up the great work!

Here is a great infield transfer tip from current Orioles player Jeremiah Jackson!

So many players work on fielding and throwing the ball, but do not work enough on the middle part which is the transfer. Bad transfers rush plays and force errors and bad throws. The more comfortable and efficient your transfer is the more consistent your throws will be.

-Ball to glove to belly to ear, get your arm in the same slot every time ✔
-Stay low in your legs throughout the transfer and throw ✔
-Find the target and line your front shoulder up with it ✔
-Get a good grip (4 seam if possible) before throwing ✔
-Follow your throw ✔

Thanks for the awesome tip, JJ!

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting an evening with Orioles Hall of Famer Adam Jones on Tuesday October 20th at 7:00 PM at our Owings Mills facility. The purpose of the evening is for Adam to share some of his experiences on and off the field and answer questions from players and parents to help guide them through their high school careers and beyond. This event is for high school baseball and softball players and their families only. There is no cost. If you are a high school or travel coach and want to bring your team, please reach out to [email protected]. We are looking forward to hosting a special evening with Adam and all of the aspiring players throughout the area. Special thanks to AJ10 for always taking the time to give back!

Today's office 😍 Prince George's Stadium always looks amazing, but there is something nostalgic and special about an empty stadium in the Fall breeze. The memories from the previous season and anticipation of the next season. Thanks to Catherine and Brian for always taking care of us. We are planning some cool things out in Bowie this Winter and in 2027. It will be here before you know it!
