We have sent communications out to our participating families but want to make sure everyone is aware that the Kids in Curwood parade has been cancelled due to the weather.

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the cancellation of the Kids in Curwood Country Parade 2026 due to weather conditions.

We know this news is incredibly disappointing. We share that disappointment, especially for the many children who were excited to participate and the families who were looking forward to celebrating this beloved Curwood tradition.

Unfortunately, we are also unable to move the parade to Sunday. The Curwood Festival is powered entirely by volunteers, and after careful consideration, we simply do not have the manpower needed to safely organize and operate the parade on an alternate day.

Our volunteers have already dedicated countless hours planning, organizing, and preparing for this event. They work tirelessly behind the scenes throughout the year and throughout festival weekend to make these traditions possible for our community. We are deeply grateful for their commitment, hard work, and love for Curwood.

While we are saddened that the parade cannot take place this year, the safety of our participants, spectators, and volunteers must come first.

Everyone starts somewhere 🌸 Our June classes are designed with beginners in mind- no experience needed!

Congratulations to our ballet dancers for achieving the milestone of passing ballet exams! ❤️ We are proud of every student and watching their hard work pay off has been the true achievement 🩰. This year we presented Primary 3, Grade I, Grade II and Grade III students to the Cecchetti Council of America.
