⚽🏆 THE TOURNAMENT IS JUST THE START.

The real purpose behind The Golden Gauntlet is simple:

Travel soccer can be expensive, and a kid's opportunity to play shouldn't depend on what their family can afford.

Our goal is to use money raised through the tournament, sponsors and vendors to help cover travel soccer costs for local kids who may otherwise miss out. ❤️⚽

As The Golden Gauntlet grows — hopefully into multiple events and even indoor tournaments — the goal is to help more kids every year.

Great soccer. Great event. Bigger purpose.

If you could change ONE THING about the typical youth soccer tournament, what would it be?

Long waits between games?
Too many games packed together?
Not enough guaranteed games?
Food options?
Parking?
Tournament atmosphere?

Or something completely different?

I've had quite a few people ask me lately where the money from The Golden Gauntlet is actually going, so I wanted to answer that personally.

Obviously, some of it will go back into growing the tournament. I'd love to eventually have multiple Golden Gauntlet tournaments each year, bring them to different locations, and maybe even put together an indoor tournament.

But the biggest thing for me, especially these first couple of years, is helping kids who want to play travel soccer but whose families may not be able to afford it.

Travel soccer can get expensive, and I don't think money should be the reason a kid who loves the game doesn't get the opportunity to play.

If The Golden Gauntlet can grow into something that helps pay those costs for kids in our area, that's what I want this to become.

I'm still building this thing and figuring things out as I go, so if anyone ever has questions, please ask me. I'm happy to talk about where the money goes and what we're trying to accomplish.

And if anyone wants to be a part of it — whether that's financially, donating something, volunteering, helping spread the word, or just lending a hand — please reach out to me.

There's a lot I want The Golden Gauntlet to become, but it has to start somewhere. ⚽🏆❤️

Every soccer parent starts the season the same way:

“I'm just going to sit here quietly and let the coach do their job.”

First 5 minutes: 😌👏

10 minutes:
“NICE JOB! KEEP GOING!”

15 minutes:
“GET BACK! GET BACK!”

20 minutes:

Standing up. Chair completely abandoned.

“SOMEBODY MARK NUMBER 7!!!” 😂⚽

And just like that…

Assistant Coach From 60 Yards Away has entered the game.

Tag somebody who has NEVER made it through an entire game sitting in their chair. 😂👇
