⚠️ Heat & Lightning Safety Reminder ⚠️
Alabama summer heat + thunderstorms = time to stay sharp!
Oxford High School Yellow Jackets — review these key AHSAA guidelines for all practices and events.

🔥Heat Safety — Use Heat Index (WBGT preferred). More breaks, shorter sessions in the heat, and monitor at-risk athletes.

⚡️Lightning Safety — Thunder or lightning? Stop immediately, seek shelter, and wait 30 minutes after the last strike (reset clock with new activity).

Pro Tip: Lightning can strike 10+ miles away. Monitor radar — move early if a storm gets within ~5 miles and heads our way!

Stay safe out there, Yellow Jackets! 💪🌩️
