Even before he arrived, he taught us patience and perseverance. He is the best gift God has ever given us. Happy 1st birthday to our son, Elias Allan. Love love love you!

This past Monday we hosted my instructor, Professor Shawn Williams, for a seminar at the academy. It was a great chance for our students to learn high-level, current techniques from someone who’s been around the sport at the highest levels.

For me, it also meant a lot to have the opportunity to learn again from the person who played a big role in inspiring me to teach. I believe it’s important to respect your lineage and appreciate the people who helped shape your path.

Great seminar, and I was also honored to receive my 3rd degree on my black belt. 🙏🏾
