Refuge Martial Arts had an incredible weekend of training on the road!

Our team traveled to New Albany, Mississippi, for an intensive training session at PAC Martial Arts with the fantastic Mr. Weinhold.

During this special weekend event, we pushed our training to the next level by focusing on three core areas:

🥋🇰🇷Sparring Strategy: We advanced each student's practical knowledge of side kicks, focusing on timing and distance to use them effectively in live sparring.

Forms Refinement: We spent dedicated time sharpening up every student's forms to ensure precision, power, and clean technique.

🇧🇷🥋Jiu Jitsu Introduction: We took a closer look at ground sweeps, specifically focusing on how to transition smoothly into dominant positions to lock in Americana submissions.

Labor Day holiday is Monday. Refuge Ozark will be open for normal classes. We may have visitors from other schools as Refuge HQ will be closed.
HOWEVER, We will be closed on Friday September 11th. All students are encouraged to go to Headland Refuge HQ on Thursday for classes. Their schedule is very much similar to ours and on the HQ website. They would be glad to have extra company for practice.

Our classes were packed out last night. We had a little bit of warm up drills and then we focused on our Taekwondo forms and drills to improve our kicks. Come check us out at Refuge martial arts.
