What if you noticed me and listened to me?

What if you were present for the sensations, symptoms, and emotions?

When did you last stop to think about your “goal” for your body?
Many women come into the Atagol realm for the first time thinking that the plan is loose x amount of weight, to build muscle, to get faster, stronger, bendier…
They assume we are here to help them obtain a smaller body - you know, to “fix” them.
If they can just be a little more fit or more toned, they will be better. More valuable.

… where we welcome them in with love and acceptance, exactly as they are
… and then we watch as they begin to love and accept themselves exactly as they are
It’s paradoxical but so true- that when we accept ourselves just as we are, then we can begin to change.
Goals are glorious! When we have our eye on them in the spirit of curiosity & growth, they can feed our soul. And when our launchpad is deliberately constructed of radical acceptance, we are ready to SOAR ahead as our optimal selves.
We do hard things. Dropping the lbs, getting strong, fast & bendy? Well, that’s the easy part…

Empower — Strength — Courage.
Three things that make us feel like absolute rockstars: Empowerment, Strength, and Courage. 💪✨
Every day, we’re out here crushing goals, facing challenges head-on, and empowering ourselves and others. We rarely stop to recognize the fabulousness of this! … but there is such beauty in noticing that this has become the default mode.
But how did we get here?
Well, we began by connecting the care of our physical wellbeing with our WHOLE self. This gave us the *courage* to take each next step forward.
And we committed to a system that fed our wellbeing. And this is where the *strength* and endurance gains began to materialize.
The magic is in the blending of the two ~ strength and courage ~ here is where we tap into empowered movement and empowered being!
The default mode is possible. Ease is possible. Begin by courageously noticing your connection to the bigger purpose. Then, commit.💥

In bodybuilding, the concept of progressive overload involves an increase of reps, sets, or (most commonly) weights to build muscle.
In real life, we challenge the hardest-working muscle in the body by progressively loading on the days, months and years. Maybe this increases its strength in a way too. What if we thought of every heartbeat as a “rep” that builds our capacity for compassion, empathy, joy & love? 🤔😊💕

“I’m having so much FUN!”
She stopped me at the door on her way out after a workout. She leaned in, as if to tell me a secret. And, like a teenager revealing her wild new “crush” she told me with timid but glowing excitement of her recent discovery.
With pure wonderment, she described how there had been a noticeable shift recently. There was a different way of feeling control, strength, smoothness and… choice.
She was in awe of how this new way of relating to her body (and WITH her body) was beginning to show up on the dance floor 💃🏼”And it is so much FUN!”
As we finished hugging and celebrating this new awareness, we reflected together on how far she has come. It wasn’t long ago that she would apologize constantly about what her body could *not* do. But she has since carved out her niche in this community - she has become a student and a guide, a model of grace and badassery, all in one package!
We’re so glad you’re here, Heather, because you make working out SO MUCH FUN!! 🤩💪💥
