Funday Sunday is THIS SUNDAY — and we're teaming up with Depreciating Assets.
If you've been telling yourself "someday I'll take my car on track," this is the day to stop saying someday. Funday Sunday is the low-pressure one: half course, point-to-pass only, flagged and monitored all day. Newer drivers and laid-back regulars share the same paddock, and nobody's there to give you a hard time.
You don't need a race car. You need the car in your driveway, a helmet, and a free Sunday.
SUNDAY, AUGUST 16 — I29 Speedway Road Course, Pacific Junction, IA
Drivers — $80 Spectators — $10 CASH ONLY at the gate · No refunds
SCHEDULE 9:00 AM — Gates open 9:30 AM — Driver's meeting 9:45 AM — Track hot 12:00 PM — Lunch 1:00 PM — Driver's meeting 1:15 PM — Track hot 4:00 PM — Racing concludes
WHAT YOU NEED TO RUN
* Helmet
* Long pants and closed-toe shoes
* Windshield and functioning seat belts
* Valid driver's license
* Goggles or face shield for drivers of open cars
* Convertibles must meet or exceed SCCA Time Trial standards

* Point-to-pass only — no passing in corners

* ZERO TOLERANCE for alcohol
