Turbo soaring

We spent years working our way up to flying in stronger and stronger winds (well before parakites were a thing). Unfortunately when it gets really strong here, it's turbulent and not very pleasant. We try not to force conditions and decided to call it after testing the air for a bit.

Today's weapons: The Spiruline Pro and La Mouette

We had hours of fun flying today while Mother Nature put on a show! I watched and filmed a sea lion playing with a fish while the birds tried to snag it, then whales breaching and tail slapping. 🦭🐳

We kept switching from the Puffin v2s to the Fregates today. 🤙🏼

We all celebrated her "re-birthday" as we were encouraged by the very light wind to do a less-practiced forward take-off, and they all - Jonathan, Stephan, and Ursula - crushed it!! I'm so proud of them (as if you can't tell by the excitement in my voice!) 🥳

Nice job, team! What a beautiful sunset and way to end a special day! 🪂
