River City Rumble: May 30th and 31st
Saturday Recap 🥎💙
✅ Game 1: Lady Storm 3, Southern Thunder 1
The day started with a strong team win over Southern Thunder. Bella was outstanding in the circle, allowing just one hit while striking out seven. Timely hits from Bella, Olivia, and Cara helped put runs on the board, while aggressive base running and an error-free defensive effort sealed the victory. The girls stole six bases and played solid softball from start to finish.
💪 Game 2: Eagles-KB 11, Lady Storm 2
The girls battled hard against a strong Eagles-KB team. Emma led the offense with a perfect 2-for-2 performance at the plate, while Evie Jo and Cara each drove in a run. Defensively, the team turned a double play and continued to compete until the final out despite a big fifth inning by the Eagles.
⚡ Game 3: Louisville Lady Sluggers-Paris 11, Lady Storm 1
Facing another talented opponent, the Lady Storm never stopped competing. Bella led the offense, going 2-for-2 at the plate, while Addy drove in the team's lone run. Sluggers capitalized on a big second inning, but our girls continued to battle and gain valuable experience against quality competition.

✅ Game 1: Lady Storm 2, Eagles-KB 1
After falling to Eagles-KB in pool play on Saturday, the girls came back determined and ready to compete. They struck early in the first inning, taking advantage of an Eagles error and a patient at-bat by Addy that brought home another run to give Storm a 2-0 lead. Addy was outstanding in the circle, going 5 2/3 innings while allowing just four hits and one run, striking out three and walking three. She stayed composed under pressure and gave her team every chance to win. At the plate, Olivia, Emma, Addy, and Evie Jo each collected a hit, while Addy led the team with an RBI. Evie Jo was aggressive on the bases, swiping two steals to help keep pressure on the defense.
💪 Game 2: KY Chrome Riggs 9, Lady Storm 6
The girls carried their momentum into the second game and showed tremendous fight throughout. After trailing early, the Lady Storm battled back in the third inning to take a 6-4 lead. Evie Jo singled, Maddie singled, Zorabelle was hit by a pitch, and Selah drove in a run as the offense came alive and put together a huge inning. Emma had an outstanding game at the plate, going 3-for-3, while Maddie added two hits. Evie Jo and Selah each drove in two runs. The defense also turned a double play during the contest. KY Chrome answered with a big fourth inning and ultimately pulled away, but the Lady Storm never stopped competing and continued to battle until the final out.
