The 2026 Kentucky Youth State Tournament wrapped up this past weekend, and were proud to say MWA earned a 3rd place finish in Division 2. A strong showing at the state level and a great way to cap off the season.

We are extremely proud of all of our wrestlers this season. From first-year competitors to returning athletes, every kid in our program represented our team with effort, toughness, and character. It’s been a fantastic season to be a part of.

Congratulations as well to Tornado Wrestling on winning 1st place as a team for the third year in a row at the middle school state tournament. It’s awesome to see so many of our former Maritime Wrestling Academy athletes continuing to have success at the middle school level.

Coaches will be taking a short, well-deserved break, but we’ll be posting off-season training opportunities soon. Stay tuned.

The new date for Youth Regionals is 2/14. Location, start times, etc. are the same as the original flyer.

Due to the winter storm, Youth Regionals and the Youth State Tournament were both moved, which unexpectedly opened the door to add another tournament to our schedule.

Registration is officially closed, but if any parents still want their wrestler to compete, reach out to Coach Chris directly. He can assist with late registration options and remote weigh-ins.

This is a great chance to get another match day in and keep the kids rolling despite the schedule changes. ❄️🤼‍♂️
