Hope’s Butterfly Blue & Derrick Westbrook

What a big week for Hope as she made her very first trip to Louisville and her very first horse show! There’s a lot to take in for a young horse at Freedom Hall, and we were so proud of the way she stepped up and took it all in.

Hope has so much ahead of her, and we loved getting to watch Derrick introduce her to the show ring for the very first time. 💙

A special first chapter for this girl, and we’re excited to see where she goes from here!

Vivienne Esper & Riverdream’s Moonlight Serenade

So proud of Vivienne and River and the beautiful rides they put together in Freedom Hall! ✨ These two make such a special team, and we loved watching them shine on the green shavings.

Some horses just have a way of choosing their people. ❤️

We are so excited to introduce the newest little addition to The Settlement — and this one is extra special because she belongs to our dad, Ed Bredniak.

If you know Ed, you know he is the guy who never asks for anything. He’s always the one doing for everyone else, helping behind the scenes, giving without expecting anything in return, and making sure everyone around him is taken care of.

So when he fell in love with this baby… well, there really wasn’t much of a decision to make.

You just buy the horse. 😂❤️

Welcome to The Settlement, pretty girl. You’ve got some big shoes to fill being Ed Bredniak’s girl — but we have a feeling you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. ❤️

Sometimes you just have to stop and look around at all God has done. ❤️

The Settlement has never been just about horses or horse shows. It’s the people God has brought into our lives, the friendships that have turned into family, the horses we’ve fallen in love with, and all the little moments in between.

There are so many times I look around this barn and just think… God is so good.

We have big dreams for this place and there are so many things we still want to do, but I never want to get so busy looking ahead that we forget to be thankful for what He’s already given us.

The people. The horses. The memories. The opportunities. All of it. ❤️
