It has come to our attention that one of our sidewalk signs has been found to be tacky and offensive by at least one person.

First and foremost, we're sorry to anyone who didn't enjoy it.

Our goal has never been to insult anyone. For the past year and a half, we've simply tried to give folks sitting in construction traffic something to smile about. If we can replace a little road rage with a chuckle, we'll call that a win.

Our signs are meant as lighthearted, good-natured ribbing about a situation we've all been living through together. They're never intended to be personal attacks. In fact, we've gotten to know many of the WW Clyde crew over the past year and a half, and they've been great sports about the jokes. Several have even told us they look forward to seeing the new sign each week.

Humor isn't for everyone, and that's okay. We know not every joke lands with every person.

If one of our signs made you smile while you were stuck in traffic, then it did exactly what it was supposed to do.

And if it didn't... we'll keep trying. We've still got plenty of construction season left.
