Pagosa Guns has new owners, a new chapter and a little more going on around here.

Nigel Holman took over the shop in 2025, and since then we’ve been building on what Pagosa already knows while adding something new: archery.

Now Pagosa Guns & Archery brings fi****ms and archery together under one roof, with the kind of hands-on help you should be able to expect from a local shop.

If you haven’t been in for a while, come see what’s changed.

This could be big for Colorado gun owners.

The Tenth Circuit has already ruled that New Mexico’s 7-day fi***rm waiting period likely violates the Second Amendment, finding that waiting periods burden the right to acquire fi****ms and lack sufficient historical precedent.

Now Colorado’s nearly identical 3-day “cooling-off period” is headed to oral arguments next week.

Because Colorado is in the same Tenth Circuit, that New Mexico ruling could put Colorado’s waiting period in serious legal jeopardy.

A man became belligerent after a Utah gas station clerk refused to sell him alcohol because he had no ID. A customer tried to de-escalate the situation, and the man eventually left.

He soon returned armed with a sh***un. The customer who had tried to calm him down drew his concealed handgun and opened fire. A second armed citizen also fired at the man, who was fatally wounded.

No employees or bystanders were injured.

Heroes walk among us every day.

The NRA has joined the legal fight against SB25-003 — Colorado’s permit-to-purchase scheme for certain semiautomatic fi****ms.

Passed in 2025, the law subjects Coloradans seeking to acquire common semiautomatic fi****ms to an extraordinary government-mandated gauntlet.

The case, Del Toro v. Polis, was brought by the Colorado State Shooting Association, an NRA state affiliate, and five CSSA members.
