One question we hear from people researching their first tandem:

“Do I need any skydiving experience?”

For a tandem skydive, you’re paired with a trained tandem instructor who guides you through the experience.

Before boarding, you’ll receive instructions about what to expect and what you need to do during different parts of the skydive.

So no—you don’t need to secretly become a skydiving expert before you arrive. 😉

We’re pretty sure every weekend includes both.

There’s the:

“My entire family is here watching!”

crowd.

“I would LOVE to skydive…but I’m scared of heights.”

We hear some version of this all the time.

And you might be surprised by how many people who eventually skydive with us were nervous about heights before they ever walked through the door.

You don’t have to prove anything to anyone.

You can be nervous.
You can ask questions.
You can have butterflies while you’re getting geared up.

And you can still have an incredible experience.

When you think of a trip to the West Palm Beach area, you probably picture beaches, palm trees and the Atlantic.

Head inland and South Florida starts looking very different.

Open countryside. Waterways. Agricultural land. And, when visibility allows, Lake Okeechobee dominating the western horizon.

We may be a little biased, but we think Florida looks pretty incredible from up here. 🪂

🪂 SKYDIVE FACT TUESDAY

Here’s something first-time jumpers often ask:

“Will I get that big stomach-drop feeling?”

A skydive doesn’t necessarily feel the same as a sudden drop on a roller coaster.

The aircraft is already moving through the air when you exit, so the transition into freefall can feel very different from what many first-timers imagine.

And that’s why trying to explain skydiving to someone who hasn’t done it is so difficult.

Eventually you just have to experience it for yourself. 😉

But there’s a whole different Florida waiting when you look west.

Instead of just the South Florida scenery you might expect, look inland and you’ll find an incredible landscape of waterways, farmland and open country stretching toward Lake Okeechobee.
