Setting new health goals feels amazing... at first. Then after a few days or weeks, the excitement could wear off and that motivation could start to fade. So how do we turn changes into lasting habits?

Successful health changes have a lot to do with being prepared and having a solid support system. So we’ve collected 6 of the best ways to stay motivated with your fitness routine to help you achieve your goals!

1. Become A Meal Prep Pro

It's a big trend for a reason: it WORKS. Every Sunday, try planning out all of your meals for the week - every breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack. This way, you can grocery shop on a budget and meal prep, so you’ll be less likely to give into sudden cravings. Plus, having all of your meals ready to go can be a huge time-saver!

2. Plan Your Workouts In Advance

Planning when you will exercise will not only protect the little time you have, it will also help you commit to doing them. Don't have time for a full 60-min Camp workout? You can choose 30-min and 45-min options with our live-streaming Online schedule.

Pro Tip: Make sure to plan out your rest days too. They are equally important!

3. Pre-Pack Your Workout Bag

Whether you’re planning a morning workout or need to rush off after work, get your bag ready the night before. It’ll make getting to your workout much easier (and more likely).

Pro Tip: If you want to be extra prepared, lay out your workout clothes too.

4. Get An Accountability Buddy

When you’re trying to stay motivated and hitting a wall, it helps to have someone else holding you accountable. Research shows that verbally committing your goals to a specific person greatly increases your chance of success. Have a Battle Buddy that you met during your Camp workouts? Call or text them. Message your Trainer. Hey, call your mom. We bet she'd love to hear that you're taking care of yourself.

5. Visualize Achieving Your Goals

Before you go to bed, plan out your next day. Visualize what it will look like and how it’ll feel to achieve all the things you’ve set out to do. Whether that means eating healthy, exercising, or even running errands, visualizing achieving your goals will help you start the next day with a motivated mindset.

6. Count On The Power Of Habit

After a while, consistently practicing little steps to achieve your bigger goal will turn into habits. When in doubt, just go through the motions. It’s not always going to feel easy, but once it becomes a habit, you’ll be more likely to keep it up — and achieve your goals!

You'll alternate between high intensity workouts and short resting periods. This training teaches your body how to efficiently use your body's energy.

Vulnerability Post!

Life is hard, Fitness is hard. I can’t tell you how many times this year I have wanted to call it quits. I’m too big, too old, too slow, then……a friend reminded me of this trip this morning 6 years ago and even though I still feel all the above things it tells me that what I am doing works, no matter how slow I am. I feel my determination coming back.

Folks jump from gym to gym looking for the quick fix, folks there is no quick fix. Camp Gladiator works, for most of us it’s not overnight, but long term it flat works! Have I given up everything good, no I haven’t, I struggle making good choices. Do I like that extra hour of sleep, certainly, but on the mornings I do get up, I am set for the day.

If you are on the fence, come give it a try. I’m still bigger than I want to be, slower than I want to be and I can’t do anything about the age thing, but I have a renewed determination to continue to move forward!
