Palestine Youth Athletic Association

PYAA is a non-profit corporation which was formed in April of 1978.

The primary purpose of PYAA is to operate youth summer baseball/softball leagues for the youth of the city of Palestine and surrounding small towns.

Ranger Softball has voted to change its birthdate cutoff for determining age group eligibility to August 31. The new cutoff takes effect for the upcoming season. Under the change, a player’s age group will now be based on how old she is as of August 31, rather than the previous cutoff date of December 31st. The board made the decision after reviewing feedback from coaches and families and looking at how neighboring leagues and higher levels of play handle age determination. We want our age groups to make sense for our players and to line up with where the sport is headed, this change helps us do that.
