As some of you may know we have been working on our Type 07 - Brahma Arms.

We took feedback from our LEO friends on what they want to see in their rifles they carry for duty.

Well the ball is finally rolling downhill now.

In stock for our three LEO Demo builds we have Rise Armament triggers. They have supplied us with the triggers they feel best compliment these three rifles.

Platform 1 (Dedicated CQB): (1) 9.5" HEDP .223 Wylde Barrel — Configured as a dedicated, suppressor-only build running the GSL SWAT-5.

Law Tactical has just emailed us about their ARICs. Super stoked about that email.

And Swampfox Optics has also replied to our inquiry. We have used Swampfox on several builds and we are waiting to see what they feel will be the best for these builds.

The instructors are excited to test these builds out and within the next few months be showcasing them to Florida Law Enforcement agencies. (And any other agencies in the U.S. that are interested)

Since I have had a lot of questions about this subject let's talk about it.

🔎 What changed recently: Open carry is now allowed

As of September 2025, a court ruling from First District Court of Appeal declared the state’s decades-old open-carry ban unconstitutional.

The state’s top legal officers (Attorney General, law enforcement guidance) have since confirmed that open carry — visible holstered handguns, etc. — is now legal statewide, absent specific location restrictions (schools, courthouses, private property owner bans, etc.).

So yes — you can legally open carry in public under many circumstances in Florida now.

🚗 What Florida law says about fi****ms in vehicles

Even before (and still under) the open-carry law change, Florida had a separate set of rules for carrying fi****ms in vehicles. According to those statutes:

A person 18 or older may lawfully have a firearm in their vehicle.

However: if the firearm is in a vehicle and the person does not have a concealed-carry license (or carrying according to permitted “on-person carry” laws), the handgun must be “securely encased” or not “readily accessible for immediate use.”

“Securely encased” has specific interpretations — in a glove compartment, in a closed box or container, in a securely closed gun case, or in a holster that closes over the gun (and the gun should not be on your person in that instance).

This means that simply having a handgun lying on the seat, visible, or otherwise easily accessible for immediate use — even if you are legally allowed to possess it — can violate vehicle-carry law if you don’t meet the secure-storage requirement.

Thus: open carry ≠ unconstrained vehicle carry under Florida law. The laws treat “carrying on your person/in public” differently than “carrying inside a vehicle.”
