Summer is finally here and I thought it was time for a reminder. Swipe to read!
For all of you that have low back pain with extension and rotation, this might be a good exercise to work on utilizing your obliques and deep abdominal muscles to help stabilize motion at the spine.
Getting on the ground on your back is probably the safest position to be in if you have an acute episode of pain. It completely decompresses the spine.
This exercise should be pain-free and really give me an idea of how well you can control rotation. The objective is to not allow any extension or rotation to occur through the low back.
If you follow me, you’ve probably seen me before describe this type of workout. It’s very easy to do and if you’re struggling to figure out what to do when you walk into a gym this might be a good plan to follow.
All in it should take you about 25 minutes! Structuring a workout around the basic core pillars of movement:…
1. Push
2. Pull
3. Lower Body
4. Core/Mid section
5. Explosive

SAVE THIS! 6 repetitions each x 5 sets!
This is a mini complex that we will have our clients do at the end of the workout, but you can do it at home as a main workout if you have limited time. The idea is to keep moving between exercises until you finish the whole circuit.
