Turning fear into strength, one lesson at a time. It is normal for a child to be scared of something they have never tried before. As instructors at feet to fins we take trust very seriously. We build the trust with our students so they know when in the pool with our feet to fins instructors we will not let anything happen to them. All of us were once scared of the water and we can relate them on that and be patient and understanding.

Teaching kids has always been a passion of mine. There’s something magical about seeing their faces light up with each new skill they master. With the excitement of learning and the thrill of the water. When I’m in the pool with my students, I get to relive those moments of wonder and joy, and it brings out my inner child.

Every lesson is an adventure, not just for the kids, but for me too. I love inspiring them to push their limits and conquer their fears, just as I did when I was their age. Watching them grow in confidence and ability is rewarding and I feel purpose. It reminds me that we’re never too old to embrace new challenges and find joy in the simple things. Teaching kids to swim isn’t just about the strokes and techniques; it’s about sharing the pure joy of being in the water and inspiring the next generation to love it as much as I do. 🌊💙
