With lobster season coming to an end, the Scuba Mood headed to Loran Towers Saturday. With gorgeous flat seas it was only a short 25 minute ride to the site. We encountered a hammerhead, a hawksbill, countless nurse sharks and half a dozen Goliath Grouper, but more importantly we loaded up with eleven massive lobsters and culled over 20 lionfish! Our newest diver caught his first lobster and killed his first lionfish in a single dive. Awesome day with awesome people!

Jasper helped us re-introduce Lindsay to the best part of our world today. After a decade away from diving, she completed her refresher today and added Nitrox 😎👌

Jasper (juvenile Goliath Grouper) has become a reliable tour guide on north Breakers in recent months. If you haven't met him yet, book a trip on the Scuba Mood and we'll make an introduction!

The new year brought us frigid topside temps in the 50's this morning, but conditions below were fantastic! Austin McKenna , Eddie Steele , Mary Higgins , Sarah May (and Stitch), Tabitha D***s and Captain David Lagos, thanks for spending your holiday on the mood!

The Bimini Hammerhead trip was a great success. What was planned as a Hammerhead adventure became a Tiger dive featuring a half dozen hammerheads. We couldn't have asked for better conditions. If you've not taken in the hammerhead safari in Bimini, rethink your priorities in life! 🤣

Congratulations to our latest Open Water & Nitrox Diver! Genaya did an amazing job. Her performance was so great that it attracted the attention of four lemon sharks and Jasper, our friendly juvenile Goliath Grouper, who gave her skills a resounding review.

Leaving the Palm Beach inlet for a search and recovery mission and expecting the forecasted 3-4 foot seas, we excitedly found nearly flat seas with a slight north current, 84 degree bottom temps and at least 120 feet of visibility. Incredible. Mike H located and lifted three anchors from Governor's Riverwalk and got a DSMB back. While a second dive wasn't in the original plan, conditions were far too amazing to pass on. Second dive was at the Triangle where grocery shopping was a success with half a dozen lions and a pair of lobster 😎👌Good times!

In the Mood? Let's dive!

Welcome to the Scuba Mood page!

Mobility of the Mood made for a weekend sweet as key lime pie this week! With the Palm Beach conditions blown out in recent weeks, the Scuba Mood headed south, taking a group of incredible dive enthusiasts to the southernmost dive sites of the continental United States - Key West! We visited Western Sambos, Eastern Sambos, the Vandenberg, the Cayman Salvager and rounded out the weekend with a two hour dip at the gorgeous Sand Key Lighthouse Reef - taking a chunk out of its lionfish population while there.

If small groups and big adventures are your passion as they are ours, drop us a line!

Scuba Mood is based in Palm Beach County, FL. She's a 27-foot Sea Cat designed for up to six divers and crew. Big enough to venture offshore comfortably, while small enough to trailer to our favorite destinations, the Scuba Mood tailors its trips to small groups with specific dive goals in mind.

We hope to see you on board soon!
