Dear friends and teammates - we regret to inform you that we will be closed for a 2 week cool-down period due to the county response to the rise in COVID-19 activity.
Our team and community safety is always priority #1. We promise that if we can open any sooner we will! These are unpredictable times for jiu jitsu. Stay strong, stay healthy, stay home!

GB WEST PALM BEACH : CORONAVIRUS ANNOUNCEMENT
Good afternoon Gracie Barra family,
We regret to inform you that Gracie Barra academies will close until Monday 3/23.
Covid19 continues to be an active threat in our community and we’ve been monitoring updates from the White House, cdc, state, and palm beach county officials to help us manage this rapidly evolving situation. It is in our best interest to keep our coaches, members, and communities safe in this time of uncertainty. We will re-evaluate the situation in the coming week and send out an update to keep our members informed. GB recommends taking full advantage of courses offered through GBonline and practicing in your home. We appreciate your flexibility and continued support during this unique situation.
Look out for each other and be kind!
Oss! ❗️🔺❗️

Nobody is certain how this situation will play out - until further notice all classes are 🔺ON AS SCHEDULED 🔺-
Stay tuned for any updates or changes
We are aggressively cleaning the gym between each training session - and must echo that it’s each of our responsibilities to practice good hygiene right now and if you are feeling at all unwell, take some time to recover rather than coming in to train that day. It is vital that we keep EACHOTHER safe.

Is your 9 year old jiu jitsu strong?!
03/10/2020
ALL training schedules are on as normal! As a fitness center it is our duty to protect our students and acknowledge the current events, but make no mistake we are training just as hard as always!

Dear Student,
Over the past few weeks, we have observed a growing public-health concern regarding the Coronavirus or (COVID-19).
All Gracie Barra Schools around the World are and will remain committed to providing the highest level of Jiu-Jitsu instruction in a healthy and safe environment.
Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus as a global concern, we have been researching preventative guidelines issued by the World Health Organization and the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Additionally, we have been in close communication with health care providers and local public health authorities to create a comprehensive plan to ensure the highest level of safety to both our students and instructors.
Initially, we aimed to gain a better understanding of the Coronavirus and the potential threats the virus may pose to our team as well as the identification of best practices in ensuring each school maintained the highest level of cleaning standards.
As we learned more about COVID-19, it became clear that our schools must not only implement every preventive measure possible but must also serve as a source of information to create more awareness about this virus and its potential risks.

"That’s How We Started.
We did not know back then where this whole thing was going to take us. Jiu-Jitsu was so small...there were LITTLE to NO OPPORTUNITIES within it.
We did it for the LOVE of the SPORT, and for the Love of our BROTHERS and SISTERS (there were only very few of them).
We did it because Jiu-Jitsu made us BETTER.
But also, honestly, because there was not much else to do. Brazil was coming out of 20 year recession. Our TV only had 4 channels, and being unemployed or stuck on a life-sucking job was the norm.
Many of us were being shoveled through school to get a “REAL JOB” in an educational system that was already broken.
Those were GREAT YEARS man!
They forged an amazing generation of teachers and fighters, lots of friendships and STRONG VALUES upon which we built the global team we are all part of today.
Master Carlos Gracie Jr. would tell us often how Gracie Barra and Jiu-Jitsu would take over the world and that we had to make an effort to stay together and united.” - Prof

"The style of training NoGi is different and students of this game need to be able to adapt their strategies. Once you don't have the Gi for gripping, your strategies become more dynamic." Professor Tussa 🤼♂️🔺️🛡
