"With ADHD, I've always struggled with consistency and remembering to prioritize the things that make me feel my best, whether that's eating properly, doing Pilates, keeping a routine, or checking in with myself.

Michelle helped me turn these things from something I knew I should be doing into habits that became part of my everyday life.

One of the biggest changes I made with Michelle was removing sugar from my diet. I have noticed a real difference in how I feel mentally, especially with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and my overall energy and mood.

What makes Michelle different is that her support goes beyond health coaching. She is also always there for me, even when what I'm dealing with has nothing to do with health."

Last night, the courtyard at Food & Thought was filled with LOVE 💙

Friends, family, clients, and community came together—surrounded by music, organic food, and the kind of quiet that falls over a crowd when a story gently lands.

We shared our film, Rooted in Love, under the Naples sky… and as a soft rain began to fall, it felt like my sister Meredith was right there with us.

We shared Meredith and Wendy Oakes’ story—and their journey with Addison’s disease.

We shared what it means to feel seen and understood in a diagnosis few people understand.

With deep gratitude to the Oakes family, the entire Food & Thought team, the National Adrenal Diseases Foundation(“NADF”), and everyone who came together to be part of such a meaningful evening.

And to my sister, Meredith, who made all of this possible by teaching me that deep grief can be expressed creatively—and can connect us in ways that create meaningful impact and awareness in our community.

If you were with us last evening, you could feel it in the air.

As promised, the film is now live at michellejoykramer.com/documentary

I hope you’ll take a moment to watch and share it (7 minutes).

This film is dedicated to my mother and my 98-year-young grandmother.

Meredith, your presence is always in our hearts. 💙

Today is my sister Meredith's birthday. And today, Rooted in Love is live.

This documentary short is the story of two Naples families whose lives were shaped by Addison's disease. It features the Oakes family behind Food & Thought and is produced in partnership with the NADF. It's only 7 minutes. 💙

Watch it at michellejoykramer.com/documentary and share it with someone who needs to see it. April is Adrenal Disease Awareness Month. There's no better time.

Most people have never heard of Addison’s disease. It’s a rare condition of the adrenal glands that’s frequently misdiagnosed and too often becomes life-threatening. April is Adrenal Disease Awareness Month, and this year I’m opening up a conversation around it.

This is my sister Meredith. She was 45 when she died from this disease.

Rooted in Love is my tribute to her, and to every family navigating adrenal illness without answers. The short film tells the story of two Naples families whose lives were shaped by Addison's: mine, and the Oakes family behind Food & Thought. Wendy Oakes lives with this disease every day. Her loving late husband Frank built an entire organic community market because he believed nutritious food could support her. Their sons Alfie and Eric carry that mission forward.

Two families. One disease. One film.

Rooted in Love premieres April 13, My sister Meredith's birthday. There's no better time to share her story.
