A lesson at 1 Ohana Farms is more than just a time slot. It’s about learning the whole process and having a great time doing it! We believe that becoming a rider starts long before you tighten the girth. A lesson here will teach your child:

The Art of Horsemanship: From grooming to tacking up, students learn to care for their partner from the ground up.

Safety & Responsibility: Understanding horse behavior and how to move safely around these gentle giants builds a foundation of respect and discipline.

Balance & Biomechanics: We don’t just teach "how to sit"—we teach how to communicate with the horse through subtle cues and balance.

Problem Solving & Confidence: Navigating challenges in the arena translates to real-world confidence, helping children find their voice both on and off the horse.

1 Ohana Farms is accepting beginner riders (& experienced) who want to learn more about horses in a calm, peaceful, private environment. There’s no pressure here. You can learn at your own pace, in the saddle or on the ground, in your own time under the kind & helpful eye of our staff & family at 1 Ohana Farm. We look forward to meeting you soon!

Meet Gigi, one of the newest horses in the program! She is a Quarter Horse Arabian and is ridden, cared for, and barrel-raced by Gracie who is a part of 1 Ohana's team & family . She is 14 years old & loves to be with her friends. She is an absolute gem under saddle & has very easy, comfortable gaits to ride. We are beyond excited to have her as part of the program!

The perfect mix of cute and capable. ✨ Whether she’s trotting around ba****ck or working with our riders, this girl is the definition of a 'safe bet.' We’re so lucky to have such a steady soul on the team.

Our four-legged therapists need their ‘me time’ too! Keeping our therapy horses strong and supple with some light conditioning today. A healthy body means they can keep doing the incredible work they do for our riders. 🐴✨
