It’s going to be a great summer of at the Southern Rec Center!

Yesterday wasn’t just a test—it was a threshold.

Our black belt candidates stepped onto the floor for their qualifier, where 1st and 2nd DAN were earned through discipline, perseverance, and technical precision.

We also want to extend our congratulations to Master Buck Kaplan on testing for his 5th Dan in a Master’s Test. In addition to his demonstration test, Master Buck’s thesis on the topic of mentoring was well received by Grandmaster Coker and the rest of the masters.

Moments like these are built over years—class by class, rep by rep, and the steady persistence to keep showing up.

Those who passed will be formally promoted at next month’s Belt Test & Promotion Ceremony. But the real milestone was already reached here.

Proud of every student who has worked so hard for this great achievement. 🥋💪
