I really try to avoid refined sugar when it comes to feeding myself and kids. When sugar is a part of our diet I notice my kids completely fall apart, get cranky and can’t handle life.
When I eat sugar my stomach hurts, I get tired and unmotivated, as well as cranky.
I love finding recipes that are quick and easy, kid approved and keep them healthy and happy. This was fun…apple donuts.

Man am I ever grateful to be a mama to these two!
Being a Mom has taught me so much about myself and my abilities. My physical ability; I gave birth naturally to both without any drugs. It was something I knew my body could do and knew how to handle. My mental ability; learned how to step into discomfort to fight for my children in a voice I never had prior. My emotional ability; my heart has exploded with unconditional love and I feel constant waves of gratitude for these kiddos. My spiritual ability; the connection in which one cannot see, but feel. Our energy connect and always will be in a way I’d never known before motherhood.

Yesterday I taught a few yoga sessions on zoom and the leading topic was based upon lightness vs darkness. There’s a saying that even the smallest light can be seen in the deepest of darkness.
At the end of our session the sun was streaming in and lit up my fingers just like a candles flame. I view it as a sign. An affirmation that we are all light beings, we all have the light within and there is support around us when we need it.
