How and Why I Opened Jade Bicycle Repair

About 3 years ago, I was invited to be a part of the Cannondale Bike Tech team for AIDS Lifecycle. It was a frightening beginning knowing I’d be working alongside experienced wrenches but I took it on and they were amazing. Nothing but help and learning and love all week long. That led me to volunteer for Best Buddies rides and return to ALC Cannondale Bike Tech the following year. Then last summer in 2019, I decided to go to Barnett Bicycle Institute to get some formal training so I could be better at fixing bikes because I really enjoyed doing it,

When Covid-19 hit, my income went to zero and so here I am. I assessed where I was in life and what made me happy as a semi-retired guy and this made a lot of sense to me. I had the tools, the training and the love for fixing bikes. So I hope one day I can clean and adjust your bike too.

The pastel airbrush fade with the Fondriest word-mark is very early-'90s Italian paint.

The chrome fork and chrome rear stays with a painted main triangle was a popular look then.

It has traditional Campagnolo-style brake levers with external cables.

Two Major Road Projects Begin....

And so it begins. Racquet Club and S Palm Canyon will finally afford cyclists and pedestrians more safety. Each road will now have 2 traffic lanes, a turning lane to keep cars moving, 2 cycling lanes and improved sidewalks and crosswalks as needed.

For S Palm Canyon, residents there will now have a safer way to cycle to downtown or access CV Link. For Racquet Club residents, their access to CV Link is safer and they can access Caballeros safely to be able to points south such as Downtown and Uptown.

If you worry about it slowing down traffic? That's the point of a road diet. Making streets safer through carefully engineered infrastructure. If you think you weren't notified? You were. Notices of public meetings went up everywhere during the design phase.
