SprocKidz

SprocKidz SprocKidz teaches mountain biking to kids and young adults ages 8-18. Our goal is More Kidz On More Bikes More Often

The emphasis is on fun, fitness, and learning proper technique. SprocKids receive instruction in mountain biking from enthusiastic, dedicated, all-volunteer coaches. Kids will also learn proper care and handling of equipment, trail etiquette, good sportsmanship and how to act responsibly in the outdoors. This program is family-oriented; parents are welcome to participate in all the activities.

Hey Sprockidz families! Today’s the day we’re excited to celebrate the season together at our End of Season Party!

We’ll be meeting from 6:30–8:00 PM at Matanuska River Park, Pavilion C.

We’ll be providing hot dogs, buns, and paper products. Please bring a side dish or drinks to share. There’s a bike park, so bring your bikes, and don’t forget to bring camp chairs so everyone has a seat.

As we wrap up the season, please take a moment to thank your coaches. They volunteer countless hours throughout the summer because they love these kids and love seeing them grow. If you’ve been thinking about bringing your coach a small thank-you card or gift, today is a great opportunity but most of all, a heartfelt “thank you” means more than you know.

We can’t wait to celebrate with everyone tonight!

As we wrap up the season, please take a moment to thank your coaches. They give up a huge portion of their summer to coach the kids (and sometimes us adults!) completely free of charge. Many of them don’t even have children in the program they volunteer simply because they love the kids and love coaching. A sincere thank you goes a long way. If you feel inclined, our coaches would also greatly appreciate a handwritten card or small gift.

Thank you for helping us recognize the incredible people who make this program possible!

Hey Sprockidz families! Here are the details for our End of Season Party happening this Wednesday!

We’ll be meeting during our normal time from 6:30–8:00 PM at Matanuska River Park, Pavilion C in Palmer (over by the Palmer airstrip).

We’ll be providing hot dogs, buns, and paper products. Please bring a side dish or drinks to share.

There’s also a pump track and flow trails, so feel free to bring your bikes if you’d like to ride! We also recommend bringing camp chairs also.

We’re excited to celebrate an awesome season with all of you and can’t wait to see everyone there!

As our 2026 Sprockidz season winds down, we’d like to ask one small favor from every family: please take a moment to thank your coaches.

Our coaches give up a huge portion of their summer to invest in your kids and sometimes us adults, too. They volunteer their time, energy, patience, and encouragement every single week, completely free of charge.

Many of our coaches don’t even have children in the program. They show up simply because they love mountain biking, they love coaching, and they genuinely care about these kids.

A heartfelt “thank you” goes a long way. If you’d like to do something extra, our coaches would also be incredibly grateful for a handwritten card or a small gift. Those thoughtful gestures mean more than you know.

To every coach: thank you for making this season possible. We couldn’t do it without you.

Hey everyone! Head coach Grace, just got done walking the trails up here at GPRA and has determined that they are not going to be safe to ride tonight! They are saturated and slick which does not make for safe riding. We are still planning on doing our end of year party on Wednesday! So we will see you guys there!!

Hey SprockidZ families! We’re super excited for our ride tonight!

It looks like it’ll be a little cooler than we've been riding in, with a slight chance of rain, so please make sure your riders are dressed appropriately and have any rain gear they may need.

Today is a Skills Day! We’ll be working on building confidence, learning new skills, and pedaling up some hills, so please help your kiddos arrive fueled up, hydrated, and ready to learn.

We’re also looking for one Parking Lot Monitor tonight. If you’re available to help, please let us know! And if anyone has individually wrapped candy they’d like to donate for our rewards bucket, we could definitely use a little more.

See you all tonight!
