🚨LISTEN UP, DERBY FANS‼️

Two of South Florida’s established roller derby leagues, Gold Coast Derby Girls and Miami Roller Derby, have officially merged to form SoFlo Roller Derby, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization representing Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
As the only Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) team in the region, SoFlo Roller Derby brings together nearly 20 years of local roller derby history into one unified league. The merger strengthens the competitive talent pool while expanding opportunities for athletes, fans, and the broader community.

SoFlo Roller Derby is a volunteer-run organization built on a long-standing DIY tradition. The league is powered entirely by its members—from skaters and coaches to officials and leadership—who collectively sustain and grow the sport through their time, labor, and passion.

Roller derby centers women and marginalized genders and continues a tradition of athlete-led, community-driven sport. The league is committed to creating a space where skaters can take up space—physically, competitively, and personally. Roller derby is a fast-paced, full-contact sport that challenges athletes both physically and mentally, while building confidence, resilience, and leadership on and off the track.
