I have plenty of weavings for sale that employ 3 indigenous women to alleviate malnutrition.
Chicas For Chicas
Chicas for Chicas was started when I thought that the poverty cycle, for some Guatemalan women and children, could be broken by providing a store front.
The content of this video is the inspiration behind Chicas For Chicas. Today’s goal was met. This will change the future for many Guatemalan children, mothers and the elderly. Follow Konojel on FB to watch your donation in action. You’ve just changed the world!

It's our last few days in Guatemala. We are very excited to show you the handmade products that we have acquired and how your purchases are changing lives.
The entire day was spent at the market that carries the weaving supplies and we purchased the thread for the next round of Imelda's (and daughters) weavings.
I've tried to upload photos of newer weavings, but wifi has not been dependable and tonight we came back to the village and there was no power!
On our way to dinner, we walked past the tiendas (stores) and food vendors were all working by candle light. It was quite beautiful.
There are many complex issues that we're addressing on the fly, but will definitely be upcoming posts and blogs.
Thank you for your support. We look forward to walking you, vicariously, through the village and explaining the impact of one purchase and how it opens a new world for these ladies and the opportunities it affords them for their families.
Stay tuned, you won't be disappointed!

Jennifer, Jayden and myself will be going to Guatemala at the end of February. Imelda and Leticia have been working hard, weaving their goods from their strap looms. Each piece is unique and they dedicate countless hours to create these one of a kind, gorgeous works of art.
I'll post photos and sizes to this FB page and the website, as I collect them.
There is no big corporation being paid. Funds will go directly to these women. Imelda's youngest daughter and grandson have the opportunity to attend a proper school, in a country where the average education is a first grade level. This is a sustainable way to break the poverty cycle.
