Very excited but super nervous for this weekend. Time to fine out what I need to work on this season.

A good finish to my second season of racing with the Ohio Mini Roadracing League - OMRL. Pretty proud of myself for only having been riding a year and a half. Still have a lot to learn and some big steps to overcome in the future. On to Expert level next season. Thank you to my dad for always making sure I have everything I need to race and supporting me all season, and thank you to Andrew Gustafson and SWG Motorsports for keeping my bike running and teaching me everything I need to know about racing the right way! Now it’s time to race with the big boys…

Finished up my second season with the Ohio Mini Roadracing League - OMRL this weekend and I have to say I’m pretty proud of myself. I got on a bike for the first time 2 weeks before my very first race last season. I never imagined only a year and a half later I’d be ending the season with 4 championships. Kids 50cc, GP2 Novice, GP3 Novice, and Overall points Novice. Now it’s time to get to work and move on to the Expert division next season! I’m coming for you Cole Schannen / CS18 Racing and Aiden Laswell😜🤣

This year has been so much fun! I got to race with my friends in more competitive classes, got to race the 160, I set new PR times almost every race this season, and I got to travel to another new track. Huge thank you to my dad Jim Hilligas for allowing me to do this and letting me travel and get the training that I need to be better. Thank you Andrew Gustafson and SWG Motorsports for training me off season (and during season) and always making sure me and my bike are ready to go. I appreciate the time you take to help/teach me everything I need to know and can’t wait to put in more work this off season. Thank you to all the family and friends that made time come watch and support me this season! And lastly, David Laswell, thank you for catching all the track moments with your camera this season, I’ve have some amazing pictures to share this year because of you!

If anyone wanted to come watch me race this season, this is your last chance. The Ohio Mini Roadracing League - OMRL will be at G&J Kartway this weekend (Sunday the 12th) for its last races of the season☹️. I will be competing for 4 different championships (Kids 50cc, GP3 Novice, GP2 Novice, and Overall Novice championship) Would love to have a cheering section for me and my SWG Motorsports teammates!! 🏍️💨🏁

Spent this weekend at Quaker City Motorsports Park and it was crazy. I loved this track but I had a hard time on Friday and Saturday finding my lines and it was causing me to really struggle with my lap speed. Left the track Sat. with a lap time of 1:28.47(on my 110cc). I was a little discouraged going into my races on Sunday knowing I could go faster. I spent most of that evening studying the course map with my dad and doing mental laps while I laid in bed. I decided on Sunday that no matter the outcome I was going to go as hard as could (without being stupid). I ended up going 6/6 in my races but most importantly, I dropped my lap time to 1:23.97!!! Thank you to Andrew Gustafson and SWG Motorsports for getting my 160cc ready. It was really fun to race with it for the first time this weekend! Thank you to David Laswell for the pictures!!
