IN-SEASON DOESN’T MEAN OFF-SPEED.

Once the season starts, school, practices, games and travel can eat up a lot of time. But you don’t need hours of extra training to maintain what you built.

A quality speed + plyometric session once a week can go a long way.

Keep exposing your body to high-speed sprinting

Maintain your ability to produce force quickly

Keep the muscles & tendons prepared for explosive actions

Build qualities that can help reduce non-contact injury risk

Stay fast, explosive and ready to go anytime

The goal in-season isn’t to bury athletes with more work. It’s to maintain the qualities that make them athletes.

Don’t stop sprinting and jumping just because the season started.

1 session. 1 day. Keep the speed. Keep the bounce. Outlast everyone.

Vito’s journey.

Vito is a father of two, a husband, a business owner, and a guy who understands that his health and fitness still need to be at the top of the priority list. Somewhat selfishly—but not for the reasons you may think.

He does it for his wife. He does it for his kids. Because if he gets sick or stops caring about himself, he becomes someone else’s worry. Never be that selfish.

He wants to remain the fittest and healthiest dad he can be. He wants to be the 35–40-year-old dad who can still play, run, train and keep up with his kids as they get older. He wants to be the example his family follows. He wants to be the guy at work who can say no to junk food or a few adult drinks because he has self-control and goals.

But he also knows when to relax, enjoy life, and get right back on track the next day.

Why?

Because this isn’t motivation for Vito anymore. It’s discipline. It’s a lifestyle he bought into.

He trains at 3 AM because he knows the world is still asleep. He has that small window to dominate for 45 minutes, 4x a week. Then he puts on his superhero cape and gets after everything else life throws at him.

I’ve been working with Vito for almost 6 years now. We really started hammering nutrition around December/early January. One of the goals was abs. It’s every guy’s goal 😂

I told him, “Okay, we’ll do it. But if you want to do this right, it’s going to be a lot longer and harder than you think.”

And it had nothing to do with countless ab exercises, crash diets, endless cardio or fake supplements.

We started around 183 lbs.

Now he’s walking around 164–165.

Less training volume. More intensity. Shoutout sprints. Dialed-in nutrition. Better recovery. Less stress about working out more.

My guy bought the f**k in.

And now look at him.

Shredded. Stronger than ever. Busier than ever. Father. Husband. Business owner. And not one f**king excuse.

The abs weren’t built from doing 1,000 crunches.

They were built from consistency, discipline, smart training, nutrition, recovery and doing the boring s**t over and over again.

Shoutout to my homie Vito.

These are the wins that remind me why I love what I do.

Parents: sports are ramping up and most of yall will think about getting your kid a trainer (shoulda did it in the beginning of summer). But don’t pick a trainer based on trends, gimmicks, fancy equipment—or because they were good at a sport. Most “trainers” don’t know the first thing about programming for pre-season & in-season. How to adjust based off playing time, intensity, what to do with limited time are so important for keeping momentum going.

A bad trainer tries to impress parents and athletes with “sports-specific” bulls**t that looks cool but rarely transfers to the court, field, or ice.

A good trainer impresses athletes with results.

They know how to build the foundation, explain the WHY, and adjust training for pre-season, in-season, and off-season—while modifying around injuries when needed.

And remember: a good trainer’s job isn’t to keep your kid sore 24/7.

It’s to keep them strong, healthy, confident, recovered and performing better when it matters.

Look for experience. Look for results. Look for a coach who understands training, nutrition, recovery, and the long game.

The best training doesn’t need to look fancy. It needs to work.

And for the parents who just kept their kids playing non-stop weekend tournaments, traveling non-stop, no real plan how to improve and tackle weaknesses.
