Last minute client cancelation gave me an opportunity to get out for a hike on this gorgeous Friday afternoon!
I potentially, yet unintentionally, made it more “realistic” for my upcoming Kilimanjaro trek by completing it underfed, slightly dehydrated, underslept, and mildly under the weather.
I came to the conclusion that I need new shoes and I need to premedicate with my one Tylenol and one Advil. Maybe two of each. (Stupid, sh*tty knees.)

Not seeing results from your hard work in the gym?
Fact: it takes 21 days to create a new habit.
Fact: it doesn’t need to be a huge habit.
Fact: your entire existence is composed of a bunch of habit loops you run every day.
Some habits you learned when you were young, like brushing your teeth and washing your face before going to bed. The reward for performing these habit loops as part of a nighttime routine (i.e. a habit) with the stimulus of going to bed is improved oral and skin health. You didn’t know this when you were 2 or 3. You didn’t know this was playing the long game setting yourself up for success in the future.
So then what’s a small habit you can create for yourself, or a current habit you can gently modify, that also plays the long game setting yourself up for more future success with your health?
It doesn’t need to be a huge, earth-shattering thing. In fact, your much more likely to be successful at integrating this new or modified habit if it’s NOT.
