Send this to someone who will understand šā¤ļø
Like the ocean, grief doesnāt ask for permission. It shows up unexpectedly in waves. Sometimes theyāre small and calm while other times they can be relentless, knocking you down.
During the early days of my grief journey I kept returning to the sea because it felt like it was the only place and thing that understood. If youāve ever stood at the shore and felt that weight, you likely know what I mean. It has a way of understanding unconditionally what we carry with us.
If you would like to honor a loved one on one of our boards we have two launching later this year (Ocean City, NJ and Tofino, Canada). You can submit their name and story through our website or simply comment their first and last name here.
We will release them back to the sea, not to let go, but to hold on and remember in a beautiful way.
Much love,
Dan
