We are saddened by the loss of our friend, mentor, and colleague. James had a profound impact of the lives and careers of countless providers across the region.
Please hold his family in your hearts. We will all continue the great work youโve taught us. Until we meet againโฆ.

Itโs a good time to have a practice run on your โBe Readyโ plans. Watchful waiting while we see what the Gulf is going to do this time.
Bay County Emergency Services continues to monitor a disturbance in the Gulf. At this time, Tropical Disturbance #2 appears to be tracking westward and will likely be a rainmaker for our area. We will post pertinent updates as they become available. As always, please be sure you are signed up for emergency alerts through www.alertbay.org.

๐บ๐ธ Happy 250th Birthday, America! ๐บ๐ธ
Today we celebrate 250 years of freedom, resilience, and the unwavering spirit that makes our nation strong.
While many are enjoying time with family, friends, fireworks, and celebrations, our Lifeguard Ambulance Service Bay County team is proudly on dutyโready to answer the call whenever our community needs us. We are incredibly grateful for the EMTs, Paramedics, Dispatchers, Fleet Technicians, Supervisors, and support staff who are spending part of their holiday serving others. Your dedication and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.
As you celebrate, please help us keep Bay County safe:
โ๏ธ Stay hydrated and take frequent breaks in the heat.
๐ค Wear a life jacket when on the water.
๐ Leave fireworks to the professionals whenever possible.
๐ Never drive impairedโplan for a sober ride home.
โค๏ธ Check on children, older adults, pets, and neighbors during the extreme temperatures.
Together, we can make this Independence Day memorable for all the right reasons.
From our Lifeguard family to yours, Happy Independence Day and Happy 250th Birthday, America! Stay safe, stay cool, and enjoy the celebration! ๐บ๐ธ๐
