Grand Valley Days

CPRA RODEO!!!! August 15, 2026 6:30 p.m. 100 La Plata Cr., Parachute, CO 81635. This is Grand Valley Days main event! Don't miss the fun. Mutton Busters must call the entry line prior to the rodeo. Food vendors, Beer Garden, Drill team exhibition, and all the wild west fun of a hometown rodeo. After the rodeo, we are having a hometown hoedown with music by Rick Mancuso and the Fyve Star Band! Come out for a boot scootin' good time!
ADMISSION: (Day of event at the gate)
$15 - 16 years and older
$10 - 9 years to 15 years and Veterans with ID
FREE for cowpokes 8 years and under!
Free Parking with shuttles provided by Grand Valley Parks and Recreation
(no outside alcohol allowed on grounds)

The 2026 Grand Valley Days is dedicated to the memory of Sherry Keinath. Sherry was a huge supporter of all equestrian events on the Western Slope of Colorado.

Keinath Ranch has been a key donor to insure that Grand Valley Days can continue to thrive in her community. Sherry had the biggest heart and kindest spirit. She will be greatly missed. Her laugh was infectious and her smile was for everyone who took the time to say hello. She was a great cheerleader of the youth in the area. Thank you for including us in your orbit!

PARADE!!! August 15, 2026 10 a.m. 2nd Street, Parachute, CO 81635. Don't miss all the fun with the Red, White & Bucking Blue theme parade. Best seats in the town are on 2nd Street around the Early Learning Center. Parking will be open on 1st street this year until the parade starts. Stick around for Alpine Echo (Gerhard Rill and his Bavarian band), and games and crafts on the lawn after the parade. Make sure the kids have candy baskets to fill!!

TEAM ROPING EXTRAVAGANZA!!! Friday, August 14th at 7 p.m., 100 LA Plata Circle (next to Cottonwood Park), Parachute, CO 81635. Don't miss this FREE event. Come and cheer on all of the local cowboys & cowgirls! Will your favorites make it back to participate in the Rodeo on Saturday? Beer Garden will be open!

Hey Colorado! Happy Birthday From the Grand Valley Park Association and Grand Valley Days! 150 years strong!

PANCAKE BREAKFAST!!! 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. August 15, 2026 at the Grand Valley United Methodist Church, 132 N Parachute Ave, Parachute, CO 81635. This is an annual tradition for Grand Valley Days. All proceeds benefit the local Methodist Church and their men's group is happy to serve up a delightful breakfast before the parade. Make sure to visit the Methodist women outside on the lawn for their annual bake sale as well. Come 1, Come ALL!! See you there!

“Red, White and Bucking Blue” is this year’s theme for the 118th annual Grand Valley Days, one of the longest consecutive town celebrations in Colorado!
