🎓 Senior Spotlight: Alejandro Puyana 🎓

Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Alejandro has been playing polo his whole life and came to UKY to play the sport he loves. As the only senior graduating this year, Alejandro has left an incredible mark on UK Polo through his leadership, dedication, and passion for the game, serving as our president this past year.

Over the last few years, he has also served as the Varsity Men’s Team Captain, helping lead the team to win the 2025 DII Intercollegiate Polo National Championship. An unforgettable accomplishment for our program.

Congratulations on graduating with your Bachelor’s in US Business! We’re so excited to see what’s next as Alejandro continues his polo career with the Hickory Hall Polo Club this summer. Thank you for everything you’ve done for UK Polo!🤍💙

Thank you to everyone who came out to our UK Polo Alumni Event. It was incredible reconnecting with former players and celebrating the history and future of the program together.

What a season!!

Both our men’s and women’s teams competed at Invitationals hosted by and Fields hosted by polo in the fall. Thank you to both programs for always hosting competitive and fun tournaments!

In the spring, our men’s team competed in Texas at the D1 National Tournament. The women’s team travelled to Virginia where they won the Southeast DII Regional Championship and went on to compete at Cornell in the DII National Tournament.

Our women’s JV team played games against and . And finally, to round out the year, we hosted our first club team tournament with the help of the men’s varsity team and players from .
