EDGAR COUNTY SPORTSMAN CLUB
(SAFTEY RULES) Applies to s***t, trap fields, rifle/pistol range
♠ Eye and hearing protection are mandatory
♠ Only shot sizes 6,7,7.5,8,8.5 & 9 may be used. Anyone found using any other size will be asked to leave and not return.
♠ Never load your gun until you are at your shooting position, in your stand and ready the target.
♠ Never assume anyone's gun is empty- in in doubt, investigate.
♠ Actons must be kept open when not in the shooting pad or on the shooting station.
♠ No more than (2) shells may be loaded in any gun at any one time on trap and s***t fields.
♠ Be aware of your position and the position of other shooters.
♠ Never point a gun at anyone for any reason.
♠ Absolutely no consuming of alcoholic beverages on the course or before shooting. No one having consumed an alcoholic beverage will be allowed to participate.
♠ Never walk in front of a trap house- enter shooting stations from behind trap houses when possible.
♠ Never attempt to repair traps that are not working-ECSC has staff to do this.
♠ All rifle and pistol targets must be placed in front of a berm, do not attach targets to either the post or cross brace that holds the belting.
♠ Pick up empties, butts, trash and used targets.
♠ No hunting allowed on ECSC property.

Members, the Rifle Range will be temporarily closed on Sunday evening at 4pm for Edgar County 4-H County Match. Almost 20 youth have been practicing hard for this event. They have learned marksmanship skills and enjoyed silhouette shooting with 22 rifles. If like to know more, please contact 4-H extension office or club president. Thank you
