It’s beginning to look a lot like….

It is so incredibly nice to hear about the horses I’ve raised. I received a wonderful text from Zoey, Habana’s new mom. Here is Habana (KWPN-NA)) with her Westfalen premium/site champion filly from this year! Congratulations to her new owner for such a terrific breeding. Zoey said she loves Habana and I can visit her in NC….I feel a road trip coming on. 😊

Said farewell to this beautiful girl we’ve loved for 11 years. Thank you Habana for bringing so much joy into my life with your amazing presence and athleticism. You have learned to trust and be trusted and life is easier now. It’s time for you to bring joy to another family. Blessed are the broodmares. Go and have a bunch of gorgeous babies and enjoy those North Carolina pastures. Til we meet again sweet girl.

Habana (Ampere x Contester x Wanroij) is back in training with Joan. She's a 2012 KWPN mare who has had one foal (Sir Sinclair) and will be available soon.

We have another old girl here to stay with us during her retirement. Ms “Z”, Zephyr is a 27 year old Dutch mare who competed in dressage. She’s a lovely old girl and enjoyed her pasture grooming today. Thinking I could probably make a rug with all that hair.

Fall is here..

We definitely have some "Chubba Bubba's" right now. Need to get some of these girls and "Mr. Dunlap/McPhee" (yikes!) to work. The dark bay is a 20 year old mare, Pessa, who came home to retire after many years as a therapy horse. She's dappled out and doing great even though we know she has some tumors.

Baby Olivena is awkward and lovely at the same time. Just a sweet, inquisitive, friendly yearling and growing like a w**d. She will be a stunner in time, there's no doubt in my mind.
