had a pinch me moment grabbing a tight dress from my suitcase last night…
I’m on my period, coming off of 3 nights poor sleep & travel inflammation…
yet still feel incredible ✨
the last cruise I went on in 2023 I would have brought this dress and never even worn it
I would have kept saying “I’ll wear it when I feel not bloated” and then never actually feel comfortable enough to wear it. So I just wouldn’t.
and then there’s now. where I needed to be ready for dinner in 15 minutes, grabbed this dress bc it was the first one I saw, without any hesitation
we don’t put in all this hard work to have a 6 pack or to be a certain weight on the scale
we do it to live without inhibition and to wear what we want with ease, without it being a whole big issue
it’s this kind of freedom that gets better and better with reps 🩷
everything I ate traveling to Europe trying to be balanced but also not stressing about it
the travel was stressful enough (missing our connection and getting rerouted through Paris) but we finally made it with time to spare 🙏🏼
it’s times like these I’m grateful I’ve built a base of knowing how to eat so that when extra stress is added onto my plate I’m not also dealing with major food stress

more and more people seem to be putting wellness at the forefront of their lives
and while that’s not a bad thing..
wellness shouldn’t be your entire life. it just shouldn’t! you should be able to enjoy a glass of wine or 2 with a friend without it throwing your entire week off
because let’s be honest with ourselves here: if a single night of wine throws your week off THAT much, you don’t have discipline- you have flimsy systems. 🤷🏻♀️
your hardcore wellness routine isn’t actually that hardcore. it’s weak (sorry)
a STRONG wellness routine includes fun. the date night with your SO, the impromptu ice cream trips, the tea-spilling wine nights with your besties…
we’ve dialed in so hard to wellness culture that we’ve forgotten how to have fun as a way to actually live life. being more well rounded, taking time to socialize and do things you enjoy actually DOES make you healthier
in 2026 when there is constantly a new trend to follow, don’t lose sight of why you wanted to get healthier in the first place: to enjoy your life 🩵

I used to completely throw it all away when I traveled
I would eat whatever I wanted because I was traveling - FORGET IT if there was a buffet element like there will be on this cruise…
I’d go balls to the wall, eating and drinking things I never would at home, all because “it’s my vacation and I deserve it”
now…. I approach not only vacations- but life so differently
I don’t restrict while I’m home. Yeah I’m on routine when I’m at home, but that routine includes a froyo trip and a happy hour with my friends. Because it’s life and it’s not meant to be perfect all the time.
the biggest difference now is that life at home is FUN. so when I’m away, i don’t feel the need to overdo it, since freedom exists at home
I’m no longer deprived and I don’t have these rigid rules that throw me into an extreme period of overeating

before you knock tracking remember that building parameters can often set you free, whereas randomness keeps you trapped 🤷🏻♀️
Unfortunately, there’s no magic pill to prevent metabolic adaptation.
Whether you’ve done the shot or not, metabolic adaptation effects so many women who’ve spent years on deficit island🏝️
Remember: if you’re deficit isn’t helping you lose weight, it’s not a deficit anymore
