‘‘Tis the most beautiful time in Park City. The trails are ablaze with colors, the weather has been incredible. How could I let my two injuries in a span of 7 days stop me from getting out for a late afternoon run with ♥️
Get out and enjoy the nature Park City! Let’s hope this lasts a few more weeks!

This is this weird time in the mountains when you end up wearing clothes from summer, fall/spring and winter all at once. I refuse to wear long pants in September! And the bandage on my left knee- that’s just the consequence of my trail run on Sunday. 🏃♀️

Proud trainer moment. Today I received a text from my client Jane that she accomplished her goal and a bucket list adventure of trekking Mt. Blanc Circular. She was exhilarated and in disbelief that she did it. She thanked me for helping her to get stronger over the past year.
Jane completed Tour de Mont Blanc …7 days trekking around highest mountain in Western Europe, Mont Blanc, from Chamonix France, through Italy, through Switzerland and back to France. 80 miles total. Each day 10-12 mi, 3500+ft ascent, 28k steps. “Can’t believe I finished”. You are amazing Jane!!

We had a great run in Glenwild and I’m convinced that with spending some time on her feet 🏃♀️ she will be more than ready!! you’re awesome! We will have so much fun training for the next few months!!

So it’s quite possible that I may need some shin and knee guards just to exist in my daily life…. The consequences of being sporty and ADHD 🤷♀️- bruised shins and knees. And, I do not climb even trees.

Running is the purest form of moving your essence through space 🏃♀️. It is my favorite way of moving! And today was my first track workout in a few years….. let’s just say that running fast hurts …. And it hurts even more if you have not done it for a while. But, it hurts soooo good! Can’t wait to do it again!!!
This time sprints feel different. I’m not injured! Low back pain, calf strains and tears, multiple hamstring tears, plantar faciatis, Achilles tendonatis etc - plagued me for years.
I’m happy to say that incorporating Physical Therapy techniques and methods to rehab as well as prevent future injuries got me and my clients back in the game!
We’re not training for any specific event, but for a privilege to spend the rest of our active lives as healthy and happy as possible. 🏃♀️💪🏻

It’s this time of year again…. It’s time for this wimpy runner/coach to finally venture outside to run. It took a lot of positive self talk and a very vivid - what if I can’t run on surfaces that are not a treadmill!?!?😱nightmare to finally get me outside.
Let’s just say that I learned something from my first outside run - all of us who have hunkered down indoors for the past many many months need some serious training adjustments.
Facts: 1. treadmill running while great simply cannot mimic the wind, hills, rocks, and other distractions that await us in the wild.
2. Outdoor runs will feel harder…..
3. The only way to overcome all the sluggishness is to immediately begin speed training aka fast short strides and plyometrics.
If you’re feeling as slow 🐌 as me stay tuned or join me for some fun speedy training and learn how to do it safely. We don’t need any pulled hammies. 😊 🏃♀️

It’s second (and not last by any means) spring here in Utah. The sun is shining, it’s warmer, the snow is getting soggier and heavier…. Until like next week, but still.
This promise of warmer weather makes me dream of those times when shorts will be getting shorter, hair a little lighter and skin a few tones darker.
Are you ready to take up your spring and summer activities?? Running, hiking and biking use different muscle groups than skiing and snowboarding:)
I have a couple of openings in the next few weeks if you need a spring/summer tune up 🦵💪🏻🦵💪🏻.
