Reecy and the entire Park Forest Recreation, Parks & Community Health team wish everyone a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable Labor Day! ☀️🌳

Whether you’re spending the day relaxing at home, enjoying time with family and friends, firing up the grill, or getting outside to enjoy our parks, we hope you take some time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the holiday.

🇺🇸 Park Forest is getting ready for a BIG Labor Day celebration — Southland style! 🎆🎶

The Village of Park Forest invites the community to come together Saturday, Sept. 5, for an evening of family fun, entertainment, and fireworks!

🥁 Labor Day Parade: 5 p.m.
🎶 Live concert: 7:30 p.m.
🎆 Fireworks: 8:15 p.m.

And there’s still time to be part of the parade! Schools, dance and tumbling groups, sports leagues, line steppers, skaters, alumni groups, and other community organizations are encouraged to sign up and show their Southland pride.

📣 Gather the family, bring some friends, and help Park Forest make this one of the biggest Labor Day celebrations yet!

The Senior Citizen Advisory Commission's 2nd Annual Senior Picnic is back.

Food, games, dancing, and live entertainment. Five hours on the Green with people you have known for years and a few you are about to meet.

Tickets are $7. Call 708.748.2005 to purchase.

Last year filled up. Get your ticket now rather than the week of.

This one is put on by seniors, for seniors. The Commission plans it, and the whole point is a day that belongs to you.
