Getting some serving practice in - primarily working on the leg kick as well as the weight transfer on the ball toss. Reach out if you want for your game!

I rarely drink beer nowadays (love stouts and porters, but body responds better to bourbon), but when I do…

Just doing my thing -

snow had me cancelling again! Didn’t want to cancel Sunday lessons, so got to work with a broom (can’t use shovels on the court). Want my students to keep improving their game!

A couple more “anniversary” pics - sushi is one of our favorites when we go out…because I already make a pretty good steak, BBQ, salmon, Thai curry…but sushi - nope, not a clue. Love you, Schweetie! |

Celebrating 35 years since the day we met - because without that date, none of the others happen!! and I met at a place called Futures in Austin TX!

One of the challenges in the 2nd week of the Fundamentals course - besides 5 cold showers - is putting each hand in a bowl of ice water for 2 minutes.

One of the goals with is to increase vascularity - especially to the extremities. Since I’ve been taking some pretty cold showers for 2 minutes a piece, this was a piece of cake. I might see if I can get a little colder using one of my ice packs. And we will see how I do with a full ice bath…I’m assuming that challenge is weeks away!

Meanwhile, I broke the 3-minute barrier with a breath hold today (you actually start the timer AFTER expelling the breath)! Took 4 cycles, though…first breath hold was about 90 seconds, but you get charged up with each breath cycle (all the more reason to be sitting or lying down). It’s a weird, tingly feeling…almost like a vibration.

Been fun going through the daily breathing and cold exposure…I’m not really one for the yoga, though…even though I know it can be an outstanding practice.

With no indoor courts available for me to teach - PGA converted their court to retail space and the SSPR bubble collapses under high winds - I’m captive to the whims of a Colorado winter. Still snow on the courts…and most days have wind chills in the 20s by 3-4pm. Missing all of my clients!!

A little self-quarantining at the cabin over the last several days…ran out of firewood. Like my foraging outfit? I’m bringing the cap back for cold days.
