We’re heading into Week 6 of Shiloh Volleyball! We have three matches this week, including two at home. We’re getting into the final stretch of our season, so we’d love to see some Shiloh fans in the stands supporting our girls! ❤️🖤

Monday’s match begins much later than our normal home matches due to the bussing situation for Medina Buckeye.

Come dressed in WHITE and help us fill the gym as the Raiders take on the Bucks!

Wednesday will be an especially meaningful night for our 8th graders!

Greenbriar will be holding its 8th Grade Recognition Night, and they have graciously invited our Shiloh 8th graders to participate in the ceremony alongside their athletes before the match.

Since this will be the final time our 8th graders take the court against Greenbriar, we’re asking coaches, staff, families, and fans to Dress for Success and come looking their best as we celebrate and support our girls!

We’re getting into the final stretch of the season, and our girls continue to work, learn, compete, and represent Shiloh with pride.

Thank you to everyone who has come out to matches, participated in our themes, encouraged our athletes, and continued to support the Shiloh Volleyball program. It means more to our girls than you know!

🏐 Shiloh Volleyball vs. Bay 🏐

Tonight, our Shiloh Volleyball teams took on Bay, and both our 7th and 8th grade teams had a tough matchup against another strong program. Both teams fell in two sets, but our girls continued to battle, compete, and show determination all the way through the final point.

Our 8th grade team only dropped the second set 25-20, which is a huge step forward for us and something we are very proud of!

Bay’s athletes come into middle school with a lot of volleyball experience. Many of their players compete in club volleyball, and their district offers developmental opportunities beginning in grades 4-6. By comparison, many of our Shiloh athletes are being introduced to organized volleyball for the first time in seventh grade. That experience gap can definitely show at times, but it also makes the growth we are seeing from our girls even more encouraging.

As coaches, all we can continue to ask is that our athletes give their best effort, maintain a positive attitude, and continue competing every time they step onto the court. There is always something to learn from tough matches, and we are proud of the way our girls continue to persevere.

For the 8th grade, Ava Watkins had a strong night, recording her first real block and making several really nice plays at the net. Mia Smalcer also played extremely well. Mia continues to be a focal point of our team because of how vocal, competitive, and energetic she is. She has a laser-like serve and plays her heart out every time she steps onto the court.

For the 7th grade, Layla Sneed and Maddie Allman stood out. Layla was asked to step in at setter after Olivia Ferenz suffered a wrist injury — nothing major! — and she did an excellent job on very short notice. She knew the position, handled the responsibility well, and stepped up when her team needed her. Maddie also had some awesome hits tonight and continues to grow into a more confident outside hitter.

We are proud of both teams and proud of the progress they continue to make. ❤️🏐

🏐 Raider Volleyball North Olmsted Recap 🏐

Both of your Raider Volleyball teams fell in straight sets tonight to the Eagles of North Olmsted, but there were still plenty of positives to take away from the night!

For your 8th grade Raiders, Layla Ferenz, Jioneliz Reillo, and Kiara Ekechi all had strong performances.

Layla continues to grow in confidence as a hitter and is making noticeable strides every time she steps on the court. Tonight was another great example of that progress! 💪

Jioneliz continues to be a staple in our back row. As our libero, she plays a huge role defensively and continues to do an awesome job keeping balls off the floor and giving us consistency.

Kiara also had a really strong night setting. She communicated extremely well and did a great job helping organize our offense.

For your 7th grade Raiders, Avery Workman, Mykenna Norman, and Tessa Gornall stood out.

Avery and Mykenna both play important roles in the back row, with Mykenna serving as our libero. Both girls continue to show impressive serve-receive and ball-handling skills and are becoming more confident with every match.

Tessa continues to develop as an outside hitter and is starting to find her swing. She had several strong attacks tonight and was also very consistent from the service line!

We are proud of the growth we continue to see from these girls. Every match is another opportunity to learn, compete, and get better.

🏐 Shiloh Volleyball Lakewood Harding Recap 🏐

Tonight’s matches against Lakewood Harding are in the books!

Our 7th grade team fell in two sets, but this group continues to grow every time they step on the court. Volleyball is not an easy game, and they are learning more every day. We are proud of their progress and will continue focusing on the little things—communication, positioning, effort, and consistency. ❤️

Our 8th grade team battled through three incredibly close sets and came away with the win!

It wasn’t our prettiest volleyball tonight, and sometimes sports are like that. The energy wasn’t quite where we wanted it and we struggled to find our rhythm, but good teams have to learn how to find a way to win even when everything isn’t clicking.

🌟 Kylie Dunnell was AWESOME in the back row tonight. Her passing and defense played a huge role in the victory.

🌟 Lillian Churak also stepped up, battling through some early mistakes and responding with some big digs and assists. Being able to reset and move on to the next play is exactly what we want to see!

Now we turn our attention to a busy rest of the week!

For the first time in years, the Raiders football team has defeated both Hillside and Greenbriar in the same season. The football team improved their record to 2-2 on the season. Everyone on the team was able to get in and play today. Congratulations!!!

🏐🔥 RAIDERS SWEEP THE BEARS! 🔥🏐

Both the 7th and 8th grade Shiloh volleyball teams picked up wins over North Royalton tonight!

The 8th grade team improves to 5-2, while the 7th grade continues to get back on the right path with another big win.

The 7th grade team battled through three full sets and got contributions from everyone. They took the first set, dropped the second, and came back to finish the job in the third!

A few Raiders who stood out:

🥪 Sophie “The Lunch Lady” Webb — kept serving and serving and serving, putting constant pressure on the Bears.

📦 Madalynn “Delivery Girl” Allman — consistently delivered points when her team needed them.

🐰 Olivia “The Energizer Bunny” Ferenz — simply refuses to stop moving and continues to make a huge impact all over the court.

The 8th grade team handled business in two straight sets, sending the Bears packing for the night!

🧹 Jioneliz “The Roomba” Reillo — refused to let the ball touch the floor and cleaned up everything in sight.

⚠️ Layla “The Problem” Ferenz — continues to be a major problem for opposing teams, consistently putting the ball down with her attacks.

🎬 Bailey “The Showstopper” Pearn — continues to set the tone and do it all for the Raiders, from passing and setting to hitting and making big plays.

Great team effort from both groups tonight!

🏐 RAIDER VOLLEYBALL GREENBRIAR RECAP! 🏐

Another rivalry night in the books as your Shiloh Raiders took on crosstown rival Greenbriar!

Our 7th grade Raiders fell in straight sets, but this group continues to GROW! Their confidence is building, they’re getting better every time they step on the court, and we couldn’t be more proud of their progress. Keep working, ladies! 💪

The 8th grade Raiders came away with a THREE-SET THRILLER! 🔥 Every point was a battle, and our girls kept fighting until they walked away with the rivalry WIN!

Playing awesome were Amani Narduzzi, bringing the energy and confidence in the middle, and Layla Ferenz, holding it down in serve receive and getting some solid swings from the outside!

Proud of the fight. Proud of the growth. Proud to be Raiders!
